Dungeon Leveling Guide for World of Warcraft

A Dungeon Leveling Guide for World of Warcraft

Blizzard completely changed World of Warcraft by adding the dungeon finder.  Dungeon leveling is now the fastest way to get to level 80, and it can leave some WoW players wondering exactly how to do it in the most effective way.  On the surface, dungeon leveling seems to be pretty cut and dry.  Just queue up for a dungeon and run through it with the party selected for you by the dungeon finder.  However, there are several tips and tricks to maximizing your leveling experience that you can only find in a dungeon leveling guide.  Dugi’s Dungeon Leveling Guide is one of the first leveling guides to utilize the dungeon method, and here are a few of the tips you’ll find explained more detail in it.
As with anything on World of Warcraft, there is a certain technique required to use the dungeon finder effectively.  DPS classes will want to make sure they still travel around the map and complete solo quests while they are waiting for their dungeon group.  This will ensure that they continue to level while waiting for the dungeon group because the wait for a DPS member is often quite long.
Tanks and healers may be able to get away with doing few, if any, solo quests.  The wait time for tanks and healers is much shorter than it is for DPS because fewer players want to choose the responsibility of healing or tanking for a group.  For every nine DPS players, you may only have one or two tanks, which is why the line for DPS players is so long.
Complete Maps for all the Lower Level Dungeons
When Blizzard first created World of Warcraft, they didn’t see fit to include maps of all the lower level dungeons.  This is especially annoying because those dungeons are a lot longer and more winding than most of the level 80 dungeons.  You really have to know where you’re going in these lower level dungeons, which is a major problem because most players have never played them.  However, thanks to Dugi’s Dungeon Leveling Guide, you’ll be able to find your way through with the in-game maps.  Leveling with the dungeon finder is a lot easier when you have maps to help you find your way.
Locations of all the Dungeon Quests

Another important feature of a dungeon leveling guide is the listing of all the dungeon quests.  The best way to maximize the amount of experience you earn from every single instance run is by completing the quests for them, but sometimes it can be very difficult trying to figure out where to pick up the quests.  In fact, some of these dungeon quests have prerequisite quests which much be completed on your own before you can be eligible to even accept the quests for the dungeons.  A dungeon leveling guide will help you figure out where you need to go and what solo quests you need tocomplete before you can accept the dungeon quests.

A Dungeon Guide for World of Warcraft

The fastest way to take your World of Warcraft character from level one to 80 is dungeon leveling, but the problem is that many of the current leveling guides just don’t support this new method of leveling.  Dungeon leveling is now widely popular as more and more WoW players discover just how fast they can level their toons.  Here’s a quick dungeon guide to get you started.

Dungeon leveling basically involves running dungeons to get the experience you need to level.  In some cases, you’ll level so quickly that you will gain one or two levels in just one instance run.  Dungeon leveling came about as a result of the dungeon finder, which was added with patch 3.3 in the Wrath of the Lich King expansion.  The dungeon finder allows players from all the servers in one server group to unite together and run an instance.  It makes it possible for players to find groups to run instances back-to-back, no matter what time of the day it is.

Your Party Role Matters
One of the most important things to remember about dungeon leveling is that your role in the party does matter.  Tanks and healers will have little to no wait time in between dungeons, but DPS classes may have to wait as long as 40 minutes in some cases.  It all just depends on how many people within your server group are queuing for dungeons within your current level range.  Of course the short wait time for healers and tanks may pressure some players to queue as a healer or tank just so they don’t have to wait, but it is very impolite to choose these roles if you don’t understand them.  Make sure you know what being a tank or healer requires before you decide to try to queue as one.

The Rewards are Better
Other than the speedy leveling benefits, there are also other reasons dungeon leveling has caught on so quickly.  Overall, you will earn more gold while dungeon leveling.  Additionally, you will have more access to better loot.  The loot that drops from the bosses in the dungeons is far superior to anything you’ll find while out solo questing.

Don’t Forget the Dungeon Quests!

You’ll also be able to complete the dungeon quests while you’re dungeon leveling.  Dungeon quests are usually available in towns that are nearby the entrance to the dungeon.  They must be completed while inside the dungeon, which means you’ll not only be soaking up experience from all the kills you make inside the dungeon, but you’ll also get to collect a massive amount of additional experience when you turn in the dungeon quests later.  And if you didn’t win the rolls on the exceptional gear that dropped while you were inside the dungeon, you’ll be happy to know that the gear you earn as a reward for completing the dungeon quests is also better than anything you’ll earn from a solo quest.
